The Kilted Hiker is a long-term project about moving through Cascadia with intention. Built from years on trails, rivers, and shorelines, it reflects what works, what doesn’t, and what the land asks of you in return.

Through film, routes, wild food, and practical experience, TKH documents how this landscape shapes the way we travel, prepare, and look out for one another. Some places are familiar. Many are still new. Discovery here comes from paying attention—to seasons, terrain, and the quieter lessons learned along the way.

TKH explores Cascadia through trail stories and routes—backpacking lines, coastal paths, alpine terrain, ferry-to-trail connections, and packraft journeys—shared with maps, notes, and honest context.

You’ll also find cast-iron and trail food shaped by wild and foraged ingredients, cultural threads like the TKH Cascadia Tartan and its meaning, and Search & Rescue perspective drawn from real field experience. Everything here is grounded in use, not theory.
